In-Person Training Spotlight:
Milton Hershey School

The Hershey family isn’t just known for the chocolate. Founded in 1909, the Milton Hershey School is a boarding school that is completely free for students and focused on providing high-quality education for students whose family incomes are below the federal poverty level. Social emotional learning (SEL) is embedded into their curriculum from the time students enter elementary school. Given the synergies between our missions, Coach-Mentor Training was a great fit and more than 20 of the school’s coaches participated in an in-person training.

Virtual Training Spotlight:
Growing the Grassroots Game for Girls

To celebrate the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, we hosted four virtual trainings that included promising practices on how to improve access and inclusion for girls in our sport. Leveraging all the lessons we learned from United for Girls, coaches learned how to infuse mentorship into their coaching with strategies to design programming with girls in mind. One of the sessions was even done in partnership with U.S. Soccer’s Virtual Coaching Education Department.

  • I thought the training was great, comprehensive, and the facilitators were outstanding. More coaches should have access to these resources and discussions
