Teaming Up with The Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures® Program

Kids with hands in the air smiling and shouting

At the U.S. Soccer Foundation, we know that soccer and smiles go hand in hand. So we are expanding our partnership with the Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures® (BSBF) program to bring oral health education to families through play in the lead up to numerous global soccer tournaments coming to the U.S.

In honor of National Brush Day, we launched The Bright Smiles FC Resource Hub, an initiative that pairs the Colgate Bright Smiles, Bright Futures® program with the Foundation’s Soccer for Success curriculum to help kids learn healthy habits while having fun on the field or in their own backyards.

To help bring these lessons home, we created a new resource hub that includes free, easy-to-use resources for parents and kids. Check out the site to find activity guides, short videos, and fun soccer drills that incorporate brushing, nutrition, and teamwork.

“Soccer has the power to unite and inspire—and that makes it a powerful tool for learning,” said Ed Foster-Simeon, President & CEO of the U.S. Soccer Foundation. “By linking the joy of the game with essential oral health habits, we’re helping families build routines that support their children’s well-being for life. This partnership ensures that families everywhere have access to fun, accessible tools that make good oral health a part of everyday life.”

“Teaming up with U.S. Soccer Foundation supports the Colgate BSBF program further its commitment to providing oral health education and resources to children and families,” said Dawna Michelle Fields, Senior Director, BSBF Operations, Colgate-Palmolive North America. “In turn, our collaboration raises awareness about the importance of oral health and teaches healthy habits as we advance Colgate-Palmolive’s purpose to reimagine a healthier future for all.”

Over the next year, Colgate BSBF and the Foundation will bring these lessons directly to communities through mobile dental units and interactive spaces at three Just Ball Unity Cups. Families can join in soccer games, learn oral health tips, and take-home materials to keep the fun (and brushing) going.

Ahead of the numerous global soccer tournaments coming to the U.S., Colgate and the Foundation will continue to expand access for kids across the country, making sure they have the tools to build confidence, wellness, and brighter futures.
