A Show-Stopping Soccer Match

Wednesday’s 2024 Congressional Soccer Match, the 10th iteration of the event, created quite the spectacle – from the spirited embassy tournament (congrats, Chile!) to the nail-biting Staffer vs Lobbyist match (ending in a penalty shoot-out) to the main event filled with a healthy dose of banter from the sideline and razzle dazzle out on the pitch.

Despite a hattrick from Canadian national team legend and Team Democrat player Dwayne De Rosario, the Republican team managed to defend the title in a suspenseful 4-3 win.

Ultimately, everyone shined throughout the evening – one about coming together in support of the beautiful game we all love.
