LALIGA North America and U.S. Soccer Foundation Team Up To Support Youth Across the Country

LALIGA will support U.S. Soccer Foundation community and fundraising efforts as the partners further engage under-resourced communities through the power of soccer

September 4, 2025

New York, N.Y.—LALIGA North America and the U.S. Soccer Foundation today announced a new partnership to further create positive change through the sport of soccer.

The U.S. Soccer Foundation was established in 1994 and for more than three decades has been focused on helping children in under-resourced communities reach their full potential, improve their well-being and live healthier lives through the Beautiful Game.

Now, in partnership with LALIGA North America, the two organizations can magnify and expand their efforts, particularly ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup hosted by the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.

“We are on a mission to provide more than 1 million children each year in under-resourced communities with access to the many benefits of our game and installing 1,000 mini-pitches in the communities where they live and go to school,” said Ed Foster-Simeon, U.S. Soccer Foundation President & CEO. “Our partnership with LALIGA expands these opportunities to positively impact youth — especially as excitement builds for next summer’s 2026 FIFA World Cup.”

As part of the collaboration, LALIGA North America will support U.S. Soccer Foundation fundraising efforts at El Partidazo fan-focused events across the country throughout the 2025/26 LALIGA season as well as supporting U.S. Soccer Foundation community efforts.

LALIGA will also serve as a sponsor of the Unity Cup in spring 2026.

“Soccer isn’t just a sport—it’s a platform and tool to create opportunity and enact positive change, especially in under-resourced communities,” said Boris Gartner, LALIGA North America Chairman and Relevent President & Partner. “Working in partnership with the U.S. Soccer Foundation who are spearheading life-changing initiatives across the country is a testament to the long-term investment LALIGA has made in making the Beautiful Game more accessible to millions of Americans across the country.”
