Rob Rubano

Rob Rubano is an Executive Vice Chairman and the Head of Equity, Debt & Structured Finance for the Americas at Cushman & Wakefield. His immense knowledge in debt & commercial mortgage structuring and placement has made him widely considered to be one of the most prominent commercial real estate finance advisors in the U.S.  Rubano has widespread experience working throughout various parts of the capital stack, including first mortgages, B-notes, mezzanine financings and preferred equity.  Rubano was the firm’s top producer in both 2021 and 2022 and he has been repeatedly recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal as one of the 500 most influential business leaders in Los Angeles. Over his professional career, Rubano has a financing transaction portfolio that exceeds $90 billion dollars.  Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Rubano spent 13 years as a Managing Director at Eastdil Secured.  

 

Rubano also sits on the advisory board of Adopt Together.  Based in Los Angeles, Adopt Together is the world’s largest non-profit crowdfunding platform for adoption.   Rubano has also had significant involvement in various other organizations; including the Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Children Burn Foundation, among others. 

 

Rubano has an M.B.A from UCLA’s Anderson School of Management.  He also has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Virginia Tech, where he played collegiate soccer for 4 years.  Rubano continues to be very involved supporting Virginia Tech athletics.
