Chief Operating Officer & General Counsel
Rob is the Chief Operating Officer & General Counsel of the U.S Soccer Foundation. Leveraging 30 years of experience in professional sports, and an extensive background as legal counsel, Rob leads the day to day operations of one of the most successful sports philanthropy organizations in the country.
Rob joined the Foundation after serving as General Counsel & Vice President for Legal Affairs of the Women’s United Soccer Association (WUSA). Prior to his tenure with WUSA, Rob was involved with litigation on behalf of the National Football League Players Association, including an antitrust action argued before the U.S. Supreme Court. In addition, he previously served as Deputy General Counsel for the Continental Basketball Association and worked for Advantage International, Inc.
Rob is on the Board of Advisors of Marquette University’s National Sports Law Institute and once served as an Adjunct Professor in Georgetown University’s Sports Industry Management Program. Rob received his Juris Doctorate from Vermont Law School and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Denison University.
