Peter is a senior executive with over 30 years of proven leadership across a diverse background in consumer-packaged goods, medical devices & diagnostics, nutritional supplements and OTC products with global experience in both large corporation and smaller PE and VC backed company environments.
Peter is the founder and Managing Partner of New Settlement Partners which provides strategic advisory and board services to PE and VC firms. He is Executive Chairman of Vytalogy Wellness, a nutritional supplement portfolio company of New Mountain Capital that owns the leading sleep brand in the U.S., Natrol, and Jarrow a leading specialty brand. Peter is also a board member of CeQur an early stage, VC-backed, company that develops and manufactures multi-day, simple, wearable insulin delivery devices for people living with diabetes. Peter is also a board member of the U.S. Soccer Foundation whose programs are the national model for sports-based youth development in underserved communities.
Prior to his current work, Peter was President and Chief Executive Officer of Atrium Innovations, a globally recognized leader in nutritional supplements with such brands as Garden of Life and Pure Encapsulations. Peter joined Atrium in mid-2014 after the company was taken private by Permira and led it through its successful acquisition by Nestlé in March 2018 for $2.3 billion, a strong 16x EBITDA and 4.3x investment return.
Before Atrium, Peter was with Johnson & Johnson for 25 years where he served as President of several of the company’s large divisions over his last 10+ years including J&J Consumer Healthcare, J&J Beauty Care, J&J OTC and LifeScan. During his tenure, Peter had the opportunity to run some of the world’s most iconic brands, including Neutrogena®, Aveeno®, Listerine®, Band-Aid®, Neosporin®, Tylenol®, Zyrtec®, OneTouch® and Splenda® among others.
Peter Luther has a BA in Economics from Kenyon College and an MBA from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University. Peter serves on the Parents Council at Tulane University and is a past member of the Board of Visitors at the School of Business at Wake Forest and the Parents Council of Muhlenberg College. Peter and his wife Dina have 3 children and live in Princeton, NJ and Kiawah Island, SC.
