With nearly 20 years of progressive experience in fundraising, brandraising, and program design centered on social change, Krista Washington rejoined the U.S. Soccer Foundation in July 2024 as the Vice President of Growth & Advancement. Her return follows a successful tenure from 2011 to 2016, and she now leads the Foundation’s comprehensive revenue-generating strategies to drive growth and achieve its ambitious impact goals.
Krista’s career is distinguished by her work with nationally acclaimed organizations such as the Alliance for a Healthier Generation, Coaching Corps, and the East Bay Community Foundation. Additionally, her previous roles with USA Football and Soccer United Marketing allowed her to merge her dual passions for sports and social change with experience that further enhances the Foundation’s efforts to improve health outcomes for youth nationwide.
Krista holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sports & Exercise Science and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She also holds a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in sports business from San Diego State University. Outside of the office, you will find Krista spending time with family and her dogs, or being active outdoors.
