Director, Soccer for Success
Bruno Marchesi joined the U.S. Soccer Foundation as the Director of Strategic Expansion, with the goal to enhance, assist, and grow the sport of soccer in the United States. Bruno was named one of the Top 16 Most Influential in Health and Wellness by the National Afterschool Association (NAA) in 2017.
Previously, Bruno was the Chief Operating Officer of the Center for Collaborative Solutions, a non-profit in California leading the Healthy Behaviors and My Brother’s Keeper statewide initiatives. Bruno has also previously served as Program Director of the UC Davis School of Education and the California AfterSchool Network. He has more than 20 years of afterschool and summer learning experience at all levels including frontline staff, Site Coordinator and Program Manager of afterschool programs, as well as Director of AmeriCorps’ nutrition and physical activity programs for the City of Sacramento.
Bruno’s education includes Bachelors and Masters degrees in Spanish/Latin American Literature, and he is a Fellow of the University of Southern California (USC) and Sierra Health Foundation Health Leadership Program. Bruno’s passion and drive come from his own core values of humility, integrity, and service.
