Heather O’Reilly is a three-time Olympic gold medalist and a three-time World Cup medalist with the U.S. Women’s National Team. She debuted with the National Team at age 17, and spent nearly 15 years representing her country, recently ending her international career in 2016 with 231 caps, 47 goals, and 55 assists. Heather was a member of the 2015 World Cup winning team and holds the record for most consecutive games played in the U.S. uniform with 76.
O’Reilly is also a champion at the club level, leading her professional clubs to league titles in 2009 and 2015 and winning the NWSL Shield in 2018 with the North Carolina Courage. Heather also spent a year and a half in London playing for Arsenal.
O’Reilly graduated from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill with a degree in education, where she lead the Tar Heels to two national championships. O’Reilly has a history and passion for bringing soccer to underserved communities, and has also been an ambassador for America Scores and Right to Play. Heather resides in Chapel Hill, North Carolina with her husband Dave, also a proud Tar Heel.
