On May 21st, 2019, the U.S. Soccer Foundation hosted the 7th annual Congressional Soccer Match at D.C. United’s Audi Field. The event brought together embassy employees, Hill staffers, Members of Congress, professional athletes, and soccer fans to support the Foundation’s life-changing programs that help children in underserved communities thrive.

The participating Embassy Tournament teams included Argentina, Brazil, Chile, China, Denmark, the European Union, Georgia, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Peru, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the U.S. State Department.
