Kinder Joy of Moving Kicks off in Newark with Soccer, Smiles, and Community Fun

Group at the Kinder & US Soccer Foundation Partnership event

Kinder and the U.S. Soccer Foundation teamed up in Newark, NJ, this weekend to bring an unforgettable day of soccer, community, and celebration through our “Goals of Joy” initiative. The initiative is built to inspire active and joyful communities through the game of soccer.

From there, we shifted the focus to the field, bringing together Kinder Joy of Moving and Soccer for Success After School methodology. We joined coach-mentors from Newark Public Schools as we dove into training on how to engage and support kids with different learning styles, showcasing new warm-ups as part of Goals of Joy. These outstanding coach-mentors set the tone for our Saturday event, where we brought over 300 kids and families to the school for our community celebration.

On Saturday, local students participated in the warm-ups seen by staff and coach-mentors the day before. Kids had the opportunity to play soccer, visit the farmers’ market, receive dental screenings, and meet the New York Red Bulls mascot, Redd. The day was full of movement, joy, and community, capturing exactly what this partnership is about.

We are excited to make movement fun, meaningful, and accessible for tens of thousands of youth and families across the country.
