    KANSAS CITY, MO – Aspiring soccer players in Kansas City, Mo. will have a unique new place to hone their skills thanks to a $15,000 Let’s Play Mini Pitch grant from Dr Pepper Snapple Group (DPS), KaBOOM! and the U.S. Soccer Foundation. The grant enabled Kansas City Public Schools to install an acrylic soccer mini-pitch that will provide a safe place for children to play, to learn and to grow. A grand opening event for the new pitch is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 20 at J.A. Rogers Elementary School, 6400 E. 23rd St., Kansas City, Mo.

    D.C. UNITED AND PARTNERS TO UNVEIL NEW SOCCER MINI-PITCH AT CAPITAL CITY PUBLIC CHARTER SCHOOL

    Washington, D.C. – D.C. United players and staff will unveil a new, state-of-the-art mini-pitch located at Capital City Public Charter School at 100 Peabody Street NW in partnership with adidas, MLS WORKS, Southern New Hampshire University and the U.S. Soccer Foundation. On Thursday, Oct. 15, a ceremonial first kick will take place with executives and local dignitaries along with D.C. United players and Head Coach Ben Olsen.

    Los Angeles, CA– Aspiring soccer players in Los Angeles will have a unique new place to hone their skills thanks to a $15,000 Let’s Play Mini Pitch grant from Dr Pepper Snapple Group (DPS), KaBOOM! and the U.S. Soccer Foundation. The grant enabled Bresee to install an acrylic soccer mini-pitch that will provide a safe place for children to play, to learn and to grow. A grand opening event for the new pitch is scheduled for Thursday, October 8, 2015 at 4:30pm PST.

    Washington, D.C. - Many urban areas across the country lack both space and a safe environment for children to play outside. The U.S. Soccer Foundation provides grants to organizations to help them build or enhance field space within their communities. To date, the foundation has helped to create over 1,100 safe places for children nationwide.

    CHIPOTLE AND MLS WORKS TO DONATE $20,000 TO SOCCER FOR SUCCESS AS PART OF CHIPOTLE MLS HOMEGROWN GAME

    Denver, July 13, 2015 – As an extension of Chipotle Mexican Grill’s commitment to support the game of youth soccer, the company has partnered with Soccer for Success as the official beneficiary of the 2015 Chipotle MLS Homegrown Game. Together with MLS WORKS, Major League Soccer’s community outreach initiative, the two organizations will donate $20,000 to Soccer for Success. The donation will be presented at the 2015 Chipotle MLS Homegrown Game held on Tuesday, July 28 at 7:00 p.m. MT at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.

    NEW YORK (July 27, 2015) – In celebration of Major League Soccer’s 20th season, MLS WORKS, adidas, the U.S. Soccer Foundation, and Southern New Hampshire University announced a partnership to build 20 mini-pitches in underserved communities in coordination with each of the 20 MLS clubs. Through this initiative, each organization seeks to bring the game of soccer to children who wouldn’t otherwise have the resources or the space to play and therefore receive the sport’s health and social benefits.

    NEW YORK RED BULLS, U.S. SOCCER FOUNDATION AND NYC PARKS CUT THE RIBBON ON NEW LOWER EAST SIDE PITCH

    The New York Red Bulls, U.S. Soccer Foundation and NYC Parks will cut the ribbon on a new state-of-the-art mini pitch at the East Side Community High School on the Lower East Side. On Tuesday June 9, 2015, representatives from organizations including the New York Red Bulls, U.S. Soccer Foundation, NYC Parks, as well as elected officials will gather to officially open a new, state-of-the-art, mini-soccer pitch that will provide the community with a safe place to play and learn the game of soccer. Once open, the U.S Soccer Foundation and the Department of Youth and Community Development will provide the Foundation’s Soccer for Success afterschool programming to area youth, a program proven effective at changing health outcomes for youth.
