Juergen Sommer is the Executive Director of Field Sports for Indianapolis based LST Marketing. He leads the company’s expanding business in ventures such as facility management and international soccer. He serves as the Athletes Council Representative on the U.S. Soccer Foundation Board of Directors and serves on the Foundation’s Investment Committee.
Mr. Sommer is a former goalkeeper of the Columbus Crew and the New England Revolution of Major League Soccer. He was a member of the U.S. Men’s National Team that competed at the 1994 and 1998 FIFA World Cups and became the first American goalkeeper to play in the English Premier League when he suited up for Queens Park Rangers in 1995.
After his playing career ended, Mr. Sommer began a business career that included stints at McDonald’s Corp., Johnson & Johnson and Cassidy Turley, a full-service commercial real estate firm in Indianapolis. Also, Mr. Sommer is an active member of the youth soccer community in Indianapolis. He resides in Carmel, Indiana with his wife Susie and two sons, both accomplished student-athletes in baseball and soccer.
