The Milwaukee Urban Soccer Collaborative hosted their annual Jamboree on June 4, bringing together eighteen soccer teams from area schools and community centers. The teams came from Riley, Hayes, Windlake Milwaukee Public Schools, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Milwaukee, Journey House, and COA Youth and Family Centers.
The matches were played at the Uihlein Complex which featured both indoor and outdoor fields. In addition to the competition, soccer clinics were provided for all the Collaborative members and coaches on hand. Each child participating in the Jamboree received a goodie bag of donated items and had the opportunity to select from donated books accumulated through the efforts of Wave of Kindness.
The U.S. Soccer Foundation assisted the efforts of the Milwaukee Urban Soccer Collaborative’s Jamboree by providing posters and t-shirts for all participants at the event.
