Javier joined the Foundation team as a Program Fellow in July 2015. Prior to joining the U.S. Soccer Foundation, he worked as a Health Promotion Analyst for the Ministry of Public Health in Ecuador. His duties included writing health promotion guidelines and project proposals to implement across Ecuador. Additionally, he has worked for the National Youth Center in El Salvador, Safe Kids Worldwide, and International Action in Washington, DC. While there, he worked in different public health programs that are implemented in the United States and internationally.
He graduated from St. Mary’s College of Maryland with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology and Political Science. He also holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Health Promotion and Quality of Life from the University of Chile.
