As we begin to celebrate the holiday season, we’d like to take a moment to reflect on all that we have to be grateful for and to thank each and every one of you for your support throughout the year. Here are just a few of the reasons we’re feeling particularly thankful this time of year:
“I am extremely thankful for all of our amazing Soccer for Success coaches and program leaders. Without their support and dedication, Soccer for Success would not be where it is today! They are heroes in every sense of the word and I feel incredibly grateful to work alongside them every season.” – Krista Washington
From the Foundation staff and all of our Soccer for Success participants – a big THANK YOU to our donors and supporters. We are incredibly thankful for all that you do to help us make a difference in the lives of others.” – Patricia Arty
“I am thankful for the opportunity to work for The U.S. Soccer Foundation. As an intern, I’ve had the opportunity to see first-hand how much soccer can positively impact a child’s life; it’s an experience that will profoundly impact my own life for years to come.” – Elliot Howe
“I am thankful for the opportunity to be part of an organization that impacts kids’ lives in such a meaningful way.” – Kelly Clemens
“I’m thankful for the chance to work with our Soccer for Success coaches and program participants. I love that I get to share their stories with others and help spread the word about all the great things we’re accomplishing together!” – Nancy Amestoy
“I am thankful for the opportunity to work with so many individuals and organizations that are working to make a positive change in society, especially for young kids.” – Kevin Hiler
I am thankful for the Soccer for Success community we have, where I work alongside change-agents like JT Dorsey, Hector Avila, Whittney Barnes, and Ale Jurado, to address community inequities and provide opportunities for youth across the country. We have more than 1,500 coach-mentors invested in delivering the Soccer for Success program, each bringing their unique strengths to the children on their team. I am thankful to witness the passion these coach-mentors possess while working with the kids. I am thankful for everything soccer gave to me and that I continue to have the opportunity to share the game with others. – Sarah Pickens
