We've had a busy month with new grants awarded, campaigns, events, and more!
7 Grants Awarded in 5 States
We are excited to announce that we have awarded seven grants totaling nearly $190,000 to non-profit organizations in five states! This funding will support soccer programs and field-building initiatives nationwide. To date, we have helped create or improve over 1,100 safe places for children nationwide.

Donate a Photo Campaign
Thank you to everyone who participated in our Donate a Photo campaign! It was a success; more than 4,000 photos were donated. Everyone's support, including those who donated photos and those who gave monetary donations, helped engage more children in Soccer for Success. Thank you to Johnson & Johnson who supported our program every time a photo was donated.
Soccer for Success National Training
From July 31st – August 3rd we hosted nearly 200 Soccer for Success trainers from across the country in Washington, D.C. for the 2015 Soccer for Success National Training.  For four days, they learned about the Soccer for Success curriculum and how to effectively teach coach-mentors to run our afterschool program nationwide. A variety of sport-based youth development topics were discussed by engaging keynote speakers, including representatives from Athlete Ally, Community Voices: Healthcare for the Underserved of Morehouse School of MedicineHealthy Kids Out of School, and the U.S. Soccer Federation. After an action-packed weekend of learning, our trainers are ready to transform their communities!

An Evening with Sir Alex Ferguson
The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) is hosting a special event - An Evening with Sir Alex Ferguson. See him discuss leadership and the lessons he learned during his 49-year coaching career, including his record-breaking spell as manager of Manchester United.

There will be two events, one in Philadelphia on October 7 and one in San Francisco on October 17. For each venue, attendance is limited. Your ticket provides admission to the in-person interview with Sir Alex, in addition to receiving a signed copy of his new book. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to the NSCAA Foundation.
