The U.S. Soccer Foundation’s work also earned a prestigious Social Innovation Fund award, in the Healthy Futures portfolio, and a Justice Department Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention Multi-State Mentoring award.

During Foster-Simeon’s tenure, the U.S. Soccer Foundation’s annual Urban Soccer Symposium has developed into the nation’s premier event where coaches, mentors and administrators learn and exchange best practices in the use of soccer as a vehicle for youth development.
