The Claudio Reyna Foundation, Soccer Shots and The U.S. Soccer Foundation will host an event to celebrate the grand opening of the new Sport Court at BRICK Avon Academy. Through the fundraising efforts of Soccer Shots, children at BRICK Avon Academy will have a place to learn the sport of soccer and participate in the U.S. Soccer Foundation’s Soccer for Success program, in partnership with the Claudio Reyna Foundation. Soccer for Success is an after-school youth development program that provides children with a safe place to engage in physical activity, mentorship and nutrition education during the times when they are the most vulnerable to succumb to negative influences.

The U.S. Soccer Foundation, the Major Charitable Arm of Soccer in the United States, and the Atlanta Falcons Youth Foundation, a division of The Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation, have teamed up to provide free soccer programming to children in the metro Atlanta area. The Atlanta Falcons Youth Foundation will donate $250,000, over a period of five years, to the U.S. Soccer Foundation’s Soccer for Success after-school youth development program. The program, which will be operated by the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta (BGMCA), will provide nearly 700 participants with 90 minutes of exercise, three days per week for 24 weeks.
