Urban Soccer Symposium
The Urban Soccer Symposium , presented by Soccer Shots, hosts community leaders and speakers from across the nation who are dedicated to improving the field of sports-based youth development. The Symposium features three days of interactive workshops focused on sharing best practices and maximizing organizations' impact in the community. In addition to the workshops, the Symposium features Capitol Hill Day, in which attendees go to Capitol Hill to meet with government officials to discuss how soccer is positively impacting children in their communities. Furthermore, the Symposium hosts the Urban Soccer Diploma - a special course that seeks to assist coaches working in non-traditional soccer environments.

The Urban Soccer Diploma is hosted during the Urban Soccer Symposium. It is the product of a unique and exciting collaboration between the U.S. Soccer Foundation and the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA). This "Special Topics" Diploma is youth development focused and aims to provide tools to coaches working in non-traditional soccer settings.

Over 200 attendees gathered in Washington, D.C. to hear keynote speakers, including NBA star Muggsy Bogues, and learn from representatives of notable organizations including Athlete Ally, Clinton Foundation, Soccer Across America, and Soccer Without Borders.
